Our Annual Live Silent Auction and Holiday Networking Mingle is fast approaching, and we are excited to bring our members and friends together once again to celebrate the holidays and give back to our community.

Last year’s event raised an impressive $3,977 for Laurel House, and we are counting on your support to make this year’s Silent Auction another success. Every year, our members are dedicated to helping individuals and families in our area, as well as supporting the SHRM Foundation, which empowers human resources as a force for social good. GVFHRA is proud to contribute to deserving organizations, and the proceeds from this year’s auction will benefit two 501(c)(3) non-profits.

This Year’s Beneficiaries

Manna on Main Street (EIN: 23-2287252)
Manna on Main Street is committed to ending hunger in the North Penn region. Guided by the vision “that everyone might be fed,” Manna provides critical services including a food pantry, soup kitchen, emergency financial assistance, counseling, referrals, and educational opportunities.

The SHRM Foundation (EIN: 34-6610067)
The SHRM Foundation empowers HR professionals to be a force for social good through scholarships, grants, mentorship, and apprenticeship programs. GVFHRA will make a 10% matching donation to support the Foundation’s mission of creating inclusive and impactful workplaces.

How You Can Help

We are seeking gift cards, products, and completed baskets for the silent auction. While full baskets are preferred, individual items and contributions of any size are also welcome to help us create themed packages.

Dinner and Festivities

We will be enjoying a full holiday buffet at Chadwick’s. Along with an amazing meal, you can look forward to bidding on auction items, participating in a 50/50 drawing, and music provided by our GVFHRA member DJ, Ross Reinhold. 

Collecting for Upper Merion Community Cupboard

In addition to the silent auction, we will be collecting donations for the Upper Merion Community Cupboard (UMACC). This local food pantry supports 100-150 families experiencing food insecurity in our community. While UMACC receives many donations from local businesses, they must still contribute about $15,000 each month to sustain the pantry. Please see the list of needed items below. Not included, but needed is pet food.

Joe Giamboi Inclusion Fund

The Joe Giamboi Inclusion Fund supports individuals in transition by covering the cost of dinner tickets. This fund aligns with GVFHRA’s commitment to Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging by providing access to networking and professional development opportunities.
