Summary

Change is inevitable but disconnection does not have to be. In this dynamic, interactive session, Erica Wexler invites the GVFHRA community into a conversation about the voice of leadership and how communication shapes trust, influence, and readiness for change. Using eight Change Readiness Guideposts as conversational anchors, participants will explore how we communicate with ourselves, with others, and across teams during moments of change. The session integrates practical, neuroscience-informed strategies to reduce noise, strengthen rapport, and create environments where people can flourish as change unfolds. Participants will leave with meaningful connection, thoughtful reflection, and practical insights they can immediately apply to meetings, conversations, and workplace culture.

Key Takeaways

  •  Apply leadership communication strategies that strengthen trust, clarity, and alignment with organizational mission, values, and strategic priorities during periods of change.
  • Analyze how internal dialogue and leadership presence influence communication effectiveness, employee engagement, and readiness for change across teams.
  • Use practical, neuroscience-informed communication techniques to reduce internal and external noise, improve collaboration, and support workforce performance in evolving organizational environments
